Shopping for more school clothes!

That's right. I went out with my sis to shop for more school clothes. Now that im staying in hall, my school clothes have been top and shorts for most days as it is really hot and stuffy to wear long pants in school or hall. Thus, decided to replenish my hall's cupboard's clothes stock with new tops and shorts. Haha.

Anyway, we went to lunch at Iluma's Pasta de Waraku. We were spolit for choices when we look through their menu as they offers a variety of pastas. Moreover, the pasta was superb! I personally think that the ice cream at Pasta de Waraku could even rival the one offered at Ministry of Food's! :D

Dining at Airport's Sakae Sushi Tepenyaki

Family and i went to dine at Airport Terminal 2's Sakae Sushi Tepenyaki. As there were still leftovers of our Changi Dollar Vouchers after our previous lunch at Airport's Swensons, we decided to spend it at the airport by trying out the Sakae Sushi Tepenyaki. The chef indeed has good cooking skills as the dishes were delicious. However, the servings per person were quite small as compared to buffets. Lol. :)

Recruitment Interview for WSC

I have decided to join a CCA in NTU, the Welfare Services Club (WSC). I am interested in the regular service project portfolio of Friends of Children (FOC). It basically are a volunteery service to mentor needy children. Hence, I went for the recruitment interview today with Elissa. Hoped that the both of us will get into the same tuition centre! :)

Four Hour Break

On every Wednesday, we have a four hour break. Today, after our morning lesson, we went to the Free Acess Lab (FAL) to print our notes. After that, Elissa and I travelled out to Jurong Point to lunch at Pizza Hut. We had the student set meal at $6.90. We tried out the new product of thin crust pizza. We kept going to the toilet due to the free flow of Pepsi drink. Lol. Anyway, after lunch, we settled down at one of the fast food restaurant to do our FM homework. Then, we travelled back to school for our afternoon class.

Stressed!

School is indeed making me tired! There's so much homework to be completed and so much to read up from textbooks!

Financial Management is a real killer module. I could understand the lecture notes after reading the textbook. However, when i come across the tutorials, i just didnt know how and which formula to apply at which part of the question. I can almost imagine me taking the exam with a blank piece of answer paper. This makes me super worried.

Business Law is another killer module. The textbook seems easy to understand, but it is indeed difficult to read thru without falling asleep. The tutorials' case studies are all applications and analysis which are very tedious.

Back at Home!

Yeah, im finally back at home sweet home! I missed my mum's dishes and also my comfy bed alot! Finally get to enjoy it for the weekend before going back to my hall.

I realised that i have taken alot of things for granted. I have depended on my mum preparing meals for me. I have relied and gotten used to the cooling air con provided in my bedroom every night. I have taken for granted all these things. Now, i really appreciate and cherish these during the short weekends back home. :)

Exploring NTU

Bestie Si Fan came down to visit my hall. We sucessfully tried out the wireless at NTU with our laptops at my hall's TV Room.

After that, we had a fun time as we went around to explore NTU and try to familiarise with the shuttle bus routes and our lectures/seminars and tutorials locations as well.

I then went to complete my medical check-up after Si Fan has left.

Also, my roommate has moved in! She's an overseas student in her fourth year. She's quite nice. At last, i got someone to talk to now. Haha. :D

Moved in to Hall

Just moved in to my hall room! Its quite spacious, neat and nicely furnished. Im living at level 6. There's good points such as its more breezy and secured up there.

However, that will mean i have to climb up and down six levels of stairs daily whenever i go out for lessons or to use any of the facilities like laudry room. Wondering why there's no lift provided. Haha.

My roommate has not moved in yet. So i will be spending my first night in my hall room all alone... :(

Packing...

I have been packing and preparing for moving in to my hostel these few days. I will be moving in on 30 Aug 2010 next monday! Feeling excited and nervous now as I will be free to live a life of my own but also worried regarding whether my roommate will be a nice person. So prays hard that she will be a nice friend.

Anyway, there's so much to bring there! All the daily necessities, clothes and my stocks of food amount to a few bags. Luckily my dad will be driving me there, if not, I cant imagine how I am going to carry all these stuffs on my own all the way from Tampines to NTU.

Yay! FT Island is finally making a comeback! After 1 year of absence in the Korean entertainment industry, as they have been promoting in Japan for the past year, they are coming back with a new mini album. The full MV of Love Love Love has just been released! Feeling happy! :D

Family BBQ

Held a family BBQ gathering at Pasir Ris. Its our first time having a BBQ with our family as usually its held with our friends or classmates. We had a fun time bbq-ing and eating our favourite food including chicken & pork satay, otah, chicken wing, beef & lamb chop, marshmallow! Yummy! The sunset view along the beach was awesome!

Visiting Ex-colleagues

Made a trip down to the airport and met up with Lilian for lunch at CARC. It's a pity that Jennifer was on MC and unable to join us. :(

After lunch, I dropped by AO Office at T1 to visit my ex-colleagues. I finally saw my replacement and she is indeed very positive. Had tea and usual private chat with Yanling and Amanda. They ranted to me a whole load of stories that happened after i left.

I really missed our everday lunch and random tea breaks with them. :)

Shopping Date with Bestie

Just came back from a shopping date with Bestie Si Fan at Vivo. We realised that the Daiso outlet at Vivo is smaller than the one at IMM. Didn't find most of the items that i wanted to buy over there. Guess have to wait till school starts and i get to go to the outlet at IMM to do more shopping over there as its quite near my school.

Anyway, had a good chat with Si Fan and finally get to catch up with her on the happenings as we have not met up for a heart-to-heart talk for the recent five months. :)

New Hairstyle

Yea, im sporting a new hairstyle now. Have went to the salon to rebond my hair and cropped off my long hair. Feeling sad to see my long hair all gone... On the other hand, its feels refreshing and lighter without long hair.

Sigh...

Sigh. Im getting bored at home... Have been staying at home and watching shows online since i have stopped working. When there are planned outings, i can't make it as i have fallen sick. Feeling so sad...

On top of that, i just realised i have missed the application for my hall orientation camp. Sad! That means im unable to make more new hall friends. Sian. :(

Lunch at Airport's Swensons

My body is still in the recovering mode. The symptoms left are running nose and cough.

Anyway, I brought my family to the Airport Terminal 2's Swensons to lunch using my Changi Dollar Voucher. We ordered Salmon & Mushroom Spaghatti, Pesto Salmon Saute, Lamp Chops and Sirloin Steak. We topped up two of our sets with the completing set of Soup of the day (Corn soup), drink of our choice and one scoop of Ice Cream of our choice at $5 for each top-up set. I redeemed my free one scoop Ice Cream too. In all, we had a yummy lunch. :)

Actually, planned to visit my colleagues at Terminal 1 after my lunch and have a coffee time with them. But as i was still recovering, dont wished to spread the virus to them, so decided to visit them another day.

Sick Sick Sick

My whole body is aching and i felt very tired and strengthless. Running a high fever too. Vomitted after having a little dinner. It was a horrible experience of being sick. Slept almost the whole day until the NDP 2010 starts showing on TV. After that, went back to sleep till the next morning.

Actually a Toy Museum Outing was planned to carry out with darling gals. However, i wasn't able to make it due to my illness. Im sincerely sorry gals... :(

Dinner with Ah Ping

Met up with Ah Ping yesterday evening after she ends her work and we dine at Tampines One's Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant. We are pleasantly surprised by the good service and food! I had Pork slices and Vegetable Soup Noodle with Ice Milk Tea due to my sore throat, while Ah Ping had Spicy Pork Rib Noodle with Strawberry Chendol drink.

After filling up our stomach with good food, we shopped around and spotted a nice present for Michx! Since she couldn't make up her mind on what she wants for her coming birthday, we decided to choose what she needs and wants currently. Michx, do anticipate it! :)

Sick

Sigh. Woke up in the morning and felt that my throat is sore. The feeling is so bad. Therefore, I'm now drowning myself with lots of water.

Acutally planned to have dinner at KFC today with Ah Ping. But seems that we will have to change our dinner location. Sad. :(

Resting

Currently I'm in a resting mode. Have just ended my first job to prepare for University. Can't wait for school to start in end of Aug. After experiencing the real working life, i realised that studying is the best thing in life and i should cherish my studying moments. :)

Sorcerer's Apprentice

Watched the movie Sorcerer's Apprentice with my Jie. It was a random decision. We were acually shopping halfway and suddenly decided to stop spending money on our never ending purchases. We then came to the decision to go catch a movie instead.

We were in a dilemma on whether to watch that specific movie as we receive both good and poor ratings from our friends regarding the movie. In the end, it turns out to be quite interesting and nice. We think that the movie is worth our money and time. :)
